Joshua Alan Tuck 30 of Daniels passed away on Monday, May 8, 2017, from injuries sustained in an accident on the West Virginia Turnpike. He became vice president of the West Virginia Association of Orthopaedic Executives on January 1, 2017.
Born July 13, 1986 he is the son of Franklin Jr. and Leonora Cruz Tuck.
Joshua attended Shady Spring First Baptist Church. He was a member of the Whitewater Chapter of the Antique Automobile Club of America. Josh worked as an Administrator of CAMC General Hospital where he also volunteered on his lunch breaks giving brown bag lunches to family members of ICU patients. He received the Heart and Soul Award for the hospital system as an extraordinary employee.
He was also involved in and was a member of several Healthcare Associations within the state where he served as a co-chair. Josh was Vice President of Baca Valley Ministries, Inc. and was very active in supporting and promoting foreign and domestic evangelism. He was a talented artist, enjoyed drawing, woodworking, hiking, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, traveling, working on his 1950 Pontiac and being with his family and friends. Josh, as a former teacher, enjoyed coaching youth sports such as soccer and high school girls’ basketball at Rainelle Christian Academy. Josh received his undergraduate degrees at Concord University and his MBA from the University of Charleston where he graduated top of his class.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Rebekah Wimmer Tuck of Daniels; parents, Franklin Jr. and Leonora Tuck of Rainelle; brothers, Franklin Tuck III of Beckley, Isaiah Tuck of Ghent; sisters, Maryanne Grimmett of Union and Melissa Workman of Shady Spring; grandmother, Annie Tuck of Flint, MI.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday May 13, 2017 at Victory Baptist Academy Gymnasium, Beaver, with Evangelist BJ Grimmett officiating.
Burial will follow at Sewell Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Franklin Tuck III, Isaiah Tuck, Caleb Workman, Micah Workman, Micah Wimmer, and Charles Gilbert.
Joshua trusted Christ as his Savior at an early age. His love of life and service for others were centered on his faith in Jesus Christ. Joshua’s life touched others everyday everywhere from West Virginia to Ireland and Russia.
Friends may gather with the family Saturday from 11 – 2 PM at the gymnasium.
