Friday opened with golf
Friday started with a scramble golf tournament. This foursome included Justin Skeenes and Michael Miller of Smith + Nephew chasing around the course after the rain with Drs. Skyler Smith and William Wallace, our guest speakers from Marshall University.
ConMed’s Fisher Cross joins WVOS’s newest member Dr. Ryan Griffith, Dr. Andrew Parsons and residents Dr. Michael Booth and Michael Niemann after the morning rain abated.
Follow the cigar smoke to find Drs. Manny Molina and Karim Boukhemis, along with the Hanger reps.
Stryker friends Dave Higinbotham and Paul Clark joined up with Dr. Alex Caughran and Colin Lamba for a round of friendly golf.
Even the deer got into the action after the morning rain.
At one point, there was a question of who would win the hole…the bunkers or the golfers!
Then moved to “Fright Night Friday”
Dr. Fred Pollock shared memories of our friend and colleague, Dr. Clark Adkins, who passed unexpectedly last month.
Dr. John Taras, CME conference chair, started “Fright Night Friday with some cases from hell!!
Saturday started with presentations for the WV Association of Orthopaedic Executives
Chuck Stump of The Performance Group shared tips for creating a community culture with “The Wheels of Change.”
David Croft and Brienne Marco of Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC, share how to get proper consent and how to terminate a patient. Other speakers included Tina Cobb of Associated Systems Professionals discussing AI in the orthopaedic office.
There were refreshment breaks at Stonewall
And a number of presentations from members and residents
