Friday started with a scramble golf tournament. This foursome included Pat Cain, Paul Clark, Felix Cheung and Dave Higinbotham. Dave scored the longest drive on the front nine at Stonewall.

Justin Skeens, Josh Cartright, Brett Whitfield and Gregg Moore enjoyed a chilly, but beautiful spring morning on the links. Justin landed closest to the pin on the front and back nines.

Jason Stanbery, David Hawkins, Jory Gotham and Josh Littlehales took advantage of a relaxing morning. Josh hit the longest drive on the back nine.

The group earning the “most fun had by a group” included Aaron Ferguson, Karim Boukhemis, Joe Prudhomme, Danny Guy and Manny Molina. Maybe it was the parrot on Manny’s shoulder?

Residents from Marshall University and West Virginia University presented research on Saturday. Resident prizes were awarded to: Alec McCann, Benjamin Giertych and Edwin Chaharbakhshi,

Dr. Shafic Sraj of WVU, Marshall’s Dr. Ali Oliashirazi and AAOS Immediate Past President Dr. Dan Guy gave their assessment of what the professional would look like after the pandemic.

Flanked by Drs. Molina and Guy, Dr. Tony Majestro was given a plaque commemorating the WVOS 2022 contribution in his name to the OREF.

Those attending offered a standing ovation to Dr. Majestro for his service to the profession.
