Good afternoon. First, let me thank all of you for your continued work to serve Medicare, Medicaid, and Marketplace beneficiaries in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As you may be aware, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has been hosting regular calls with providers and stakeholders, and we’ve heard many suggestions for additional flexibilities that would be of value as you and your members provide front line health care. As a result, on Thursday, April 30th, CMS released a second interim final rule that further expands the waivers that were released on March 30th.
The CMS Philadelphia Office once again would like to offer you an opportunity to meet with Sharon Graham and myself by conference call for a 30-minute discussion of these new waivers. If this would be of interest to you and your organization, please review the grid below and send me three preferences for a call next week (week of May 4th). The red spaces are times that ARE NOT available, so choose three white spaces and we will do our best to schedule everyone according to their preferred times. Please note that these calls are intended to be a high-level overview of the waivers, and we would like to hear from you as to how these waivers address the needs of your members.
