The West Virginia Orthopaedic Society focuses its efforts on educating physician members on the latest information in the field so they can continually improve the level of care each patient receives. The Society seeks to educate the public on safety and accident/injury prevention. Members of the West Virginia Orthopaedic Society are continuing this tradition of concern with the diagnosis, care and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. Their scope of practice includes disorders of the body's bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons. Before becoming members, each orthopaedist has completed four years of medical school and an approved residency in orthopaedics.

The 2010 benchmarking survey is being conducted by the West Virginia Association of Orthopaedic Executives and the West Virginia Orthopaedic Society through grant funding from the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. The purpose of this financial benchmarking survey is to allow your practice to compare itself to those of similar sizes throughout West Virginia. All responses will be reported in the aggregate so that individual practices can not be identified. Members of the West Virginia Association of Orthopaedic Executives and the West Virginia Orthopaedic Society completing the survey will be entitled to a complimentary copy of the survey report. Nonmembers completing the survey may purchase results for $100. We ask that each practice complete the survey only one time, whether done by an orthopaedist or by a practice/office manager. Results will be reported in the aggregate only. We ask that you complete the survey by Friday, September 10, 2010.
